Hello Oakfield Families,
Happy August! I hope summer is providing time to relax and enjoy the sunshine, warm weather, and quality time with your loved ones. My name is Sarah Poquette, and I am very excited to be serving as the District Administrator in Oakfield.
I’m embarking on my 25th year in education, 24 years in Oshkosh and starting year one in Oakfield. Over the years, I’ve taught fifth grade, directed an after-school program, provided instructional and curriculum support, and mentored both new teachers and administrators. I’ve also served as an elementary principal for 9 years and, more recently, as a middle school principal for 5 years. Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Jason, and our two sons, Gavin (17) and Clay (15), at our home in Oshkosh. We enjoy being outdoors, fishing, boating, and cheering on our favorite hockey teams.
The School District of Oakfield has a strong history of high academic performance and an excellent school community. I look forward to working with our teachers, staff, and community to continue this high level of success as well as building relationships with both you and your child(ren).
Online registration is available on August 13 for the school year on PowerSchool. If you prefer to register in person the district is offering general registration at the middle school/high school on Wednesday, August 21 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Open House will take place on Wednesday, August 28 from 4:00-6:00pm for all students. During this time students can bring in school supplies and meet teachers. School photos will take place on Sept 10 for MS/HS and Sept 18 for elementary students.
